Petitions or Joint Letters are important tools that help raise local issues with the council. They also help raise the profile of an issue in the council chambers and the local media/community, as well as help form a group of like-minded residents to come together to solve a problem.
If you have a problem and would like assistance with a petition or joint letter, please contact my office. I will gladly assist you with the formatting of the petition or joint letter, and present it to the council on your behalf.
Tips for petitions:
1. Each page of signatures must be headed with the words of the petition
2. Every signature must be signed in handwriting (not photocopied etc) and must include the name and address of each person
3. The petition should be addressed to “The Hobsons Bay City Council”.
